This hourly position leads the 2nd shift operation of approximately 26 employees, and is responsible for ensuring employees are following policies, performing their work safely, producing quality parts, and meeting production schedules.
Responsible for immediate direction of production employees. Monitors and reports productivity.
Maintains TIBs in respective areas.
Ensures policies/practices are followed and reports all non-compliance issues
Promotes and is responsible for 5S and Safety
Approves employees time worked by scheduled deadline each day
Coordinates HPT meetings for responsible area, and ensures all employees are engaged in HPTs
Responsible for quality and scrap in their respective areas
Responsible for identification and follow thru of training needed in their respective areas
Responsible for ensuring all new employees are trained properly in safety, machine operation, and processes
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have prior experience as a leader.
Must have good computer skills.
Must have (or be able to obtain) a forklift license.
Must have proven leadership skills
Must possess strong people skills (orally and demonstrated written form)
5+ years of experience working with processes and understanding of extrusion, curing, grinding, cutting equipment (or similar machinery/equipment).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Lead HPT meetings
Good understanding and engagement in HPTs.
Have a good understanding of gauging techniques
Well organized and detail oriented.
Strong working knowledge of Parker computer systems, including mainframe and Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.
Must pass a drug screening and Corporate background check.
Must have or be able to obtain forklift license.
